It is important for The Cape Cod Foundation to respect the privacy of its donors. For this reason we never share our mailing lists of donors with outside organizations or individuals. As a reminder, you may also indicate to us that you would like to be listed as Anonymous in our annual report.
In addition, we strive to protect the privacy wishes of our fundholders. The Foundation often receives unsolicited requests for funding. As a rule, we will ask for a proposal or letter of intent from an agency if we know of a donor's interest but we will screen the agency before bringing it to you. We believe one of the benefits to donors of having funds at the Foundation is to have a buffer for interested organizations, if that is your wish.
Also, when grants are made from donor funds, the Foundation generally provides information about the fund because grantees may want to acknowledge or thank the donor. We would like to know if you want to receive any correspondence directly from grantees.
In order for the Foundation to ensure your privacy wishes, please fill out this form and return it to The Cape Cod Foundation in the envelope provided. Please indicate by checking one of the boxes below how you would like us would like us to identify you to the organizations you award grants and sign below.
- Name of your fund only in the grant acknowledgment letter
- Name of your fund and your address in the grant acknowledgment letter. Including your address allows the grantee to send you a thank you note directly.
